My only issue with this... is it does not speak to the frame of mind of her victim.  If he forgave her then so be it.

And I do want to speak to the last paragraph.  This is total nonsense... for if men were still seen this way then this woman would not be up for charges to begin with.  Yes, I am certain if roles were reversed the guy would get hammered... as he should.

Reality is, this is probably a good sentence for her.
