I think the point is spot on: we are always creating. The question is what.

He had it until the very end. His political rhetoric got the best of him. It's not a choice between progress or history, but an enrichment of history through progress AND progression through the vehicle of history. Such disjointed logic that he jumps to is why our political left can never succeed at anything and leaves the rest of us feeling alienated; they create so well that they neglect to tether their ideas to reality. Passing a bill to eliminate poverty is easy. Figuring out how to pay for the deficit completely alludes them. Had he left that one line out I would have never known he was half as clever as I had assumed.

All in all though, he has many great points.
