Hillary can still be president...

First thought after reading this was
Second thought was... OMG!!! This is a professor of law!
Third thought was... anyone here know why this is absurd? So thought I would have a small US government discussion to see if folks know why this is impossible?

Because Hillary is a bigger criminal that Trump has ever been alleged to be and she will be in jail way before that.
She paid the Russians for the evidence of collusion and its all fake news.
Plus the speaker of the house cant just nominate a defeated candidate and put them in the presidency.

Not really no. The Speaker would not be allowed by law to place someone as vice president.
After speaker is Secretary of State, Defense, and then the other executive secretaries... but I do not remember their order at this point.
So if Ryan stepped down, next would be Tillerson. Then Mattis.
The next VP would be elected at the next regular election. If Tillerson became POTUS, he would have the ability to have a secretary of state, but Mattis would still be next in line.
Their is no provision for after all secretaries have been gone through. But if we have such an issue... I am thinking Hillary would be the least of our worries.
